Indeed, even far back as 500 BC Heraclius cited that ââ¬Å"change is constantâ⬠it happens all over. It is a characterizing power in our life, and could be contended that a condition of constant change has nearly become routine Luecke (2003). Change is critical it won't vanish nor disseminate; it has been read and inquired about for a long time by various associations each with a similar goal, which is to accomplish the ââ¬Ëperfectââ¬â¢ successful hierarchical change which will last (Todnem 2005). A few chiefs become effective in executing change whi le others come up short (Strickland, 1998).â Mourier (1998) detailed that disappointment rates are as high as 60 percent; this is practically identical to the 63 percent disappointment rate for all hierarchical change announced by Shaffer and Thompson (2002).â â Therefore associations will keep on looking for the ideal change writing, which accomplishes the inescapable (Balogun and Hope Hailey, 2004).â Efficient administration of changes at each level is essential to the achievement of a Healthcare association (Todnem 2005). They have been confronted with unprecedented changes because of significant advancements in clinical practice and rearrangement inside the work place (Upton and Brookes 2000). Because of the different manners by which hierarchical changes can be overseen, we are needing a normalized model which can be applied to various situations. Because of the dangers in question, the Healthcare business needs such all around pertinent, proficient change the board mode ls now like never before. In this paper, we examine different change the executives models and their achievability in Healthcare. Three significant change the board scholars: William Bridges worried on the significance of individuals in overseeing change in an association and expressed that the procedure of progress should start at an individual level (Campbell, 2008). This is fundamental when working inside a staff group as opposition assumes a job in the result and viability of the change (Paton et al, 2008).â In his original work titled Managing advances, authoritative advisor Bridges precisely distinguishes change and progress as two particular procedures. He depicts change as being situational and states that change, doesn't really include progress of individuals (Bridges, 2003).â However, he portrays progress as a 3-stage process. The main stage is called Denial where individuals at first oppose the change and express annoyance, stun and frustration. The following stage is the Neutral Zone where the responses of individuals are less solid and they are prepared for the change at a psyche level. In the last stage is known as the New Beginning, the underlying suspicion clears a path for expectation and energy and individuals start to acknowledge the change with an inspirational viewpoint. Scaffolds (2003) suggests ordinary cooperation and correspondence with the workers so as to accomplish a smooth change. Being offered time to modify and get ready for the change limits opposition (Bernhard and Walsh, 1995). Model given Without usage Presentation of electronic hazard evaluation structure No preparation, or implementing staff of advantages, notâ including them in process Brought about obstruction from staff With usage Presentation of electronic hazard evaluation structure Brilliant training,â staff included ready to comprehend need of new framework Brought about no opposition, relinquishing old framework, change went easily, clinical administration accomplished Moreover, he proposes steps, for example, compensating the representatives adding to the progress, executing productive transitory frameworks until the change is finished and setting benchmarks with nonstop improvement so as to accomplish positive outcomes from the progress. His suggestions have been instrumental in smoothing the procedure of change across different Healthcare associations. Nonetheless, barring exceptionally straightforward changes, most changes are multidimensional in nature (Campbell, 2008). Along these lines, the change the executives model needs to viably arrive at all the affected regions of the association. Also, different individuals associated with the change procedure will have various proposals and suppositions about the reason and the potential outcomes, and changes starting because of outside elements, for example, the economy, ongoing innovative improvements are only here and there unsurprising. In such cases, the proposals of Bridges are insufficient. When taking a gander at scholar LaMarsh she proposed an organized change the executives approach.à LeMarsh (1995) contends that because of the innate opposition of people to change, a few outstanding thoughts and creative innovations are not embraced and in the end wind up being disappointments. So as to defeat this obstruction, she suggests that the individuals associated with the change procedure be perceived first. R.Turner, (2003), would concur with this as he perceives the significance that individuals associated with the change procedure should be hightlighted.â Buono (2010) sees that the coordinated change approach recommended by LaMarsh and R Turner (2003) can cause genuine harms whenever utilized improperly. Because of the flighty responses of the workers who oppose the change, association individuals are left to deal with feelings, for example, outrage, bitterness and misfortune. Next, since opposition starts from various reasons, (Hargie et al 2004), suggests gathering data about the reasons setting off the obstruction from each level. In any case, she likewise precisely predicts an impermanent decrease in the exhibition of the association during the execution of the change simultaneously prompting disarray. Consequently, none of these methodologies were adequate without anyone else in taking care of progress the board difficulties in a human services organisation.â However, the most extreme improvement in the field of progress the executives came as Kotter, a Harvard teacher. In his top of the line book titled Leading Change (Kotter, 1996), he proposed an eight-advance change process (demonstrated as follows) which denoted the start of another period in overseeing changes. Kotterââ¬â¢s Model depicted in the case underneath Step 1â â Establish a desire to move quickly Kotter (1996) states that fruitful usage of a change necessitates that a lion's share of the administration wholeheartedly support the idea.â This should be possible by making a need to keep moving, conveying straightforwardly, which will de initiate resistance.â Once individuals bolster the change Kotter states, that this will come consequently. Stage 2 Form an amazing assemblage So as to persuade individuals that change is fundamental, an administration with solid initiative is necessary.â Build a group of adherents by clarifying the advantages and certainty of the change.â Once this is done the change can be implemented.â â (Kotter 1996) Stage 3 Create a mutual vision The most ideal approach to get individuals to help a thought is by persuading them with the goal that their help is willful and not constrained. Subsequently, individuals who are liable for actualizing and executing the change should be told about the reasons and the vision behind the change and how it can bring about regular good.â (Hughes 2006). Stage 4 Communicate the Vision On the off chance that individuals are to take an interest in the change procedure with energy, they should be spurred and told about how the change can bring about an extraordinary future for the association. This is the most significant advance of all since this is when obstruction will be experienced from different corners of the association (Day 2007). Step 5â â Empower the individuals to act Since opposition is relied upon to emerge from various degrees of the organization.â Change pioneers must be set up to recognize the base of the worries raised and answer them convincingly. Along these lines, all deterrents can be evacuated in a deliberate and viable way The workers ought to be permitted to voice assessments and express their interests. The worries ought not be stifled since an association can become just on the off chance that it has inspired and committed workers (Day2007). Step 6â Plan for and Create Wins Making inspiration is troublesome without indicating individuals rewards, by acquiring a ward framework you are compensating them for good work, or victory.â This will rouse inspiration, and appreciation towards the organisation.â Ensuring the change goes even smoother. Step 7â Change improvement check focuses Kotter (1996) states that ââ¬Å"several changes wind up being failuresâ⬠When taking a gander at change there must not be an end, it is a persistent, steady procedure which ought to consistently be kept an eye on, or adjusted. To permit the change to last.â As itââ¬â¢s not simply time that changes, everything else can. Stage 8: Institutionalize new methodologies Alongside presenting the change, the change heads should likewise guarantee that the change is joined at all levels. It must turn into the default technique for all sections of the association and not only an erratic thing. So as to achieve this, the change chiefs need to unmistakably clarify the representatives the connection between the ongoing accomplishments of the association and the recently received practices. By doing this, any change can be supported regardless of the underlying opposition it experienced. Among the three significant masterminds and approaches talked about above, Bridges and Kotter have been broadly examined because of the viability and adaptable of their Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02762643158710173214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4739227128415416052.post-52242759698983166112020-08-21T16:16:00.001-07:002020-08-21T16:16:29.928-07:00Awareness of k+12 Essay Example for FreeFamiliarity with k+12 Essay Reason ââ¬Å"Change is avalanching downward on our territory and a great many people are absolutely ill-equipped to adapt to itâ⬠, states Alvin Toffler. In many nations today, changes are going on so quick that we are on occasion incapable to protect important social viewpoints and qualities. In the field of educational program, change is and will keep on being, the factor for any instructive endeavor. (Bauzon, 2002) In the new century, the instructive condition is quickly changing and the jobs and obligations of the educator s become requesting in the most piece of the world. In our nation today, the educational program of our instructive framework has been amended to fulfill its needs. As per President Benigno S. Aquino, ââ¬Å"We need to add two years to our essential instruction. The individuals who can manage the cost of pay as long as fourteen years of tutoring before college. Along these lines, their kids are getting into the best colleges and the best employments after graduation. I need in any event 12 years for our government funded younger students to give them an even possibility at succeedingâ⬠(www. google. com ). Besides, the brief length of our essential instruction program puts Filipinos who are intrigued to either work or study abroad off guard. This is on the grounds that different nations see our 10-year program as fragmented, which at that point, makes Filipino alumni not be considered as experts abroad. The main instructor of the youngsters are their folks. They have an incredible job in the improvement of the youthful. They become some portion of nature of learning at home. Section II REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE To give profundity and significance of the current investigation some related writing and studies taken from articles, books, magazines and periodicals, from various examinations and papers read which have bearing on the examination directed and talked about. Related Literature Clearly our countryââ¬â¢s capacity to give quality training to its kin is pivoted to its endurance just as its capacity to contend in the worldwide market and be an important accomplice on the planet issues. (Philippine yearbook, 2003). In spite of the fact that our legislature made available resources so as to elevate the quality instruction that we have, yet at the same time it is actually a quandary for each Filipino that our instructive framework is declining. With this, bunches of changes experienced, and the instructors just as the students are the essential worry of this. The progressive change in educational plan is one of the way to destroy this decrease. As Smithers (2003) said that, ââ¬Å"it has been in dispute that instructors should assume an increasingly urgent job in all periods of educational plan making from starting arranging through improvement give it a shot, establishment, assessment and update. Increasingly more homeroom educators are being tapped to serve in school educational program boards and team. A confounded instructor once saw that the educational program resembles a labyrinth in his words ââ¬Å"a complex circumstance including a variety of contemplations that require significant studyâ⬠. It is our conflict that it is need not to be so stripped to its base basics, educational program making is shockingly straightforward. (Bruner,2002) According To Bauzon (2002), ââ¬Å"the desires of any standards of any general public fill in as determinants of the instructive framework. The yearning rises just to the degree of its peopleââ¬â¢s desires. The most fundamental instrument in country building which is instruction distils the objectives in the general public. In the school setting, every kid learns substantially more than he is instructed as a feature of the educational program. Not all learning is the consequence of the arranged encounters in the school. The educational plan of the school incorporates those encounters for which the school acknowledges obligation. These curricular encounters are sorted out and elevated so as to satisfactory goals and necessities of kids might be reacted satisfactorily. They are arranged consecutively with the goal that numerous students needs social, otherworldly, passionate, scholarly and physical will be readied. The practical educational program depends on the acknowledgment that development factors and experiential foundation conditions status to learn. In this manner, the educator gives new advices preceding the childââ¬â¢s level of improvement. (Gronlund,2004). Jerome Bruner stresses that here must be an accentuation after decreasing a subject to its central thoughts or structure. To get a handle on the structure of a subject, he contends, one must comprehend the connection among realities and thoughts which comprise the subject. Hub IV Doloress own story features the significance of TV in her adolescence. From multiple points of view, Dolores was run of the mill of the post-World War II rural working class. After a long Depression and the apportioning of war, her age was naturally introduced to relative benefit. The TV turned into the focal point of both the new customer situated society and family life, prompting noteworthy social disengagement. Notwithstanding TV, the after war period saw an ascent in the status of ladies, which drove thus to an expansion in sexual thoughts and separation. Normally, the ability to separate and too unreservedly pick ones sexual accomplices is a social positive great, yet during the 1950s and mid 1960s the family unit was in motion because of these social issues. Dolores was along these lines relinquished by her dad and spent a lot of her initial life searching for a substitution father figure. Her mom, sick herself, didn't have the social encouraging group of people to keep up either a way of life or a caring home condition for Dolores. This isn't at fault the assault on her; basically, she was unable to try and imagine herself as a sexual casualty because of male-commanded social standards fitting with changing socially acceptable sexual behaviors. As a corpulent lady, Dolores encountered an equivalent sex experience, as she felt awkward around and horrendous to men. It is imperative to note that patient engagement entails tools, activities, and relationships by both patients and clinicians towards promoting the aspect ofÃâà decision-making. Patients feel empowered when theyÃâà are engagedÃâà in the process of clinicalÃâà proceduresÃâà and will be willing to share data that is essential in decision-making. As a result, this will enhanceÃâà the quality ofÃâà care, promote patient empowerment, andÃâà easeÃâà improved health care outcomes for patients since theyÃâà are empowered. In addition, empowering patients is a valuable tool for providers to improve health careÃâà qualityÃâà because patients readily share data and informationÃâà aboutÃâà various aspects that is important to the entire process. Moreover, researchers should approach establishing patient engagement strategy in order toÃâà getÃâà data that isÃâà considerableÃâà to initiatives such as Cancer Moonshot. The patient engagement process entailsÃâà the application ofpatient surveys to benchmark provider and patient readiness. Survey results are significant because they enhance the patient`s readiness toÃâà provideÃâà data that is critical in addressing various health conditions across the globe. Researchers play a critical role in promoting health care through analysis of data collected in relation to various issues within the health care system. Involving themÃâà on aspects such asÃâà previousÃâà researchesÃâà andÃâà the significance ofÃâà the researchÃâà to beÃâà conducted is essential. Majority of researchers fail to collect adequate data from patientsregardingÃâà various healthÃâà conditionsÃâà because they do not involve pa tients in the research process.Ãâà Releasing control of theÃâà individualsÃâà who will get access to study information is another essential aspect. This is because research is a process that requires participation from all participants, and moderationÃâà at all times. For instance,Ãâà M-CEITAÃâà has played a big role in helping providers andÃâà researchersÃâà get the most out of patient engagement. This implies that once patientsÃâà are engagedÃâà in the activities of the providers or researchers, they develop the sense ofÃâà readinessÃâà and value of the process. For instance, cancer research is essential towards creating awareness and medical innovations. However, this faces obstacles because patients are not involved in the process of research. Releasing control to get access of information from patientsÃâà may not beÃâà followed by the expectations of a researcher if there is little engagement with the patient. Currently, there are little incentives for cancer patients to share their data because they are less engaged in the processes of research. It is imperative to note that incentives that promote patient participation will convince them to share information and dataÃâà regardingÃâà various health conditions. These incentives include participating in health-related online social networks that offers a platform for patients to feel free and share dataregardingÃâà health conditions. Online social networksÃâà provideÃâà a conducive space that allows patients from various regions to adequately collect data from patients suffering from various health conditions. It is imperative to note that patientsÃâà should beÃâà given the greenlight by researchers to approach aspects such as their experiences with the health conditions and how they are coping with medical interventions. In most cases, patients do not share dataregardingÃâà these conditions because t hey are limited to the findings of a researcher and their confidentiality. Markman stipulates that "patients should have the rightÃâà to accessÃâà andÃâà evaluateÃâà the resultsÃâà whether or nottheyÃâà contributeÃâà their health information to a repository" (Dvorak 2016). Patient should have the right or opportunityÃâà to accessÃâà andÃâà evaluateÃâà the results as it is a key aspect in their engagement and ensures they are fully engaged not only in the process of data sharing, but also the outcomes of the data collected. This is a critical aspect becauseÃâà mostÃâà the patients will not share information, unless assured that the end resultsÃâà will be sharedwith them.Ãâà The notion ofÃâà patient engagement with the researcher is toÃâà make sureÃâà that theÃâà empowermentÃâà process is adequately implemented on the patients. WhenÃâà empowermentÃâà is highly approached, the end results will be high response and sharing information about health condi tions such as cancer by patients.Ãâà Convincing patients about the benefits of data sharing is another important aspect. For instance, patientscan beÃâà informed on the benefits they are likely toÃâà makeÃâà as a result of sharing dataÃâà aboutÃâà various health conditions they are suffering from. Informing patients about the benefits of sharing data may include the value of developing more superiorÃâà antibioticsÃâà and other medications. Through this, patients find the value of sharing information because it will benefit them. In addition, the researcher has to outline other benefits such as creating awareness in the society through various initiatives that willÃâà make sureÃâà cancer patients receive desirable care. This will help others in the community understand theÃâà significanceÃâà of undertaking screening for cancer before the condition developes into fatal stages. Receiving decision support for healthcare and health management decisions is another aspect that researchers in the health care sector can u... Data masking, encryption, and authentication are some of the ways of protecting data from the public so that only authorized personnel can access such information (Rouse, 2013). Organizations always use this aspect of information technology (IT) to increase confidentiality within the management in order to reduce vulnerability and exposure of their systems to unauthorized segment. Information on finance, medical data, criminal records, and business information are some of the personal data that require continuous privacy. The United States, for instance, has different legislations on data privacy that deal with specific sectors given the different needs that emanate from them. Data usage by unauthorized persons is illegal in most parts of the globe. Therefore, concerned parties must come up with relevant protective measures to address the possibilities of such pieces of information of finding their way on the wrong hands. Patients records are essential in managing health facilities by ensuring that they offer quality services to the clients. For instance, a patients medical history is essential in determining the types of medication to administer to the patient. Such data remain confidential, and should only be used for treatment purposes only. As a way of preventing information leakage, which may result in stigma to a patient, the management must ensure that pieces of information on all patients are kept securely to maintain confidentiality. The US has the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) that ensures that patients data remain accessible only to the authorized segment of the staff. HIPAA uses electronic data interchange to give patients information unique identifiers that th e unauthorized group cannot interpret. Users are given privileges under strict laws to access all medical records, and, at the same time, have to maintain data integrity and confidentiality on information that may lead to identification of a patient (Rouse, 2013). Websites also have confidentiality policies that guide their service provision. Some organizations have put tracking measures in place to identify those accessing their websites for security purposes. For example, when one accesses such sites, the computer stores cookies automatically. This move prevents hacking of information by third parties as the organizations can trace all their users. This issue of cyber security has been contentious, with opponents arguing that it is against the privacy policy to allow organizations to track their users through cookies. However, proponents hold that even though the move infringes on the privacy of the public, it has impressive impacts on guarding the security of organizations. That is, loss of data by an organization has great impacts on society as compared to tracking individuals. The US citizens use cyberspace to travel, power their homes, communicate, provide essential government services, and run their economy. The overreliance on the network has posed serious attacks thus causing more information vulnerability. Organizations should work towards limiting data breaches that may arise from information hacking. Using password-protected data is one way of improving the security of online data (Zhan, 2009). Markedly, choice of passwords is key in limiting data loss. In cybercrimes, one does not need to break into a physical property to steal information or use force to access the materials. For example, bank frauds have been on the rise with the coming of this new technology. In addition, cases of information confidentiality is worrying, as other internet savvy people can access such information, a recent example is the Wikileaks. These cases prompted US to pas s legislations that could help in eradicating this menace. Since many departments and organizations use this modern technology, fighting the vices is a shared responsibility (Raab Mason, 2002). The private and public sectors are collaborating to create awareness on cyber security among the internet users. With the high rates of cybercrimes, financial institutions, for instance, have to use complex mechanisms to enhance the security of their data, as fraudsters can easily transfer funds through the online platform to their accounts. In this aspect, the browsing history of users is significant in enhancing information security for the benefit of both the users and website owners. In... These men are similar in some respects, but overwhelmingly they are different. For example, John Winthrop and Benjamin Franklin can be considered leaders in their time frame. Winthrop led the Puritans; Franklin led his country to war. Both men also possessed many of the same virtues such as patience and work ethic. The region began to grow not only in population, but also in prosperity. The Puritans were expected to support the church by giving money to their ministers. The later generations born in Massachusetts Bay were more interested in keeping their wealth than fearing the wrath of God. New England merchants were accused of making too much money; they began to want relief and freedom from the straitjacket of Puritanism. The life of Benjamin Franklin is a typically rags-to-riches story. He knew that hard work would pay off in the end, and by the age of forty-two he had accumulated sufficient wealth to reach his goal of the Ãâfree and easy life (54). Unlike Winthrop, Franklin believed that the money one earns is rightfully his own. Winthrops and Franklins economic philosophies reflected the time period in which they lived. A final difference between Winthrop and Franklin dealt with their notions of science. Naturally, for the Puritans, science meshed with religion. It says on page 60, Nature was Gods handiwork; its processes showed the effect of His guidance. Consequ ently, to study natural phenomena was to observe the wisdom, power, and glory of God. Another case in point is Kate Chopins book on a womans self-discovery appropriately titled The Awakening. Just like these authors, Hesse proves to be no stranger to this choice of symbolism. He illustrates quite effectively and allows the reader to notice and reflect on Siddharthas personal development on more than one level. It is easy to see that many cross-cultural themes were brought into Siddhartha. Through writing on more than one level, Hesse has created a literary masterpiece that is extremely deep and meaningful. And I wasnt that Wrong. Surely, the story is not about a cold-blooded murder, who murders to please his or her Master, but it still is about a person, who collects things material things, not dead people so she can sacrifice them to the dark gods, so they will leave her alone and not hurt her.If you try to look at Helen as a person who knows her, but doesnt know her dark secret, youd probably think of her as the woman who has everything. She has a lovely, strong husband, some happy children and a job where she gets to help bewildered teenagers. The family is a family of virtue and wealth. Her husband is a lancer; therefore he values morality and legality. Hes a man of principle of firm opinions. Hes the caretaker in the family. Maybe it is right to say, that Helen has everything, but she doesnt have the perfect life.We wouldnt even think of her life as an ideal life. The kids, the job, the wealth and the husband, yes maybe, but we wouldnt want to be in her position. We wouldnt want to live the way that she ivies -? constantly frightened of the dark gods. Spending every living moment to think of what she has to steal next to please them. You could look at the text with your Super Natural Goggles on, and say that these dark gods might actually exist in this fictional world. Helen describes them very well. But these so-called dark gods, are the only supernatural things in this text, and I believe its all a part of Helene imagination. These dark gods could be a result of her COD. An explanation of her actions. It doesnt say anywhere in the text, that Helen suffers from COD, but its quite obvious to me. Surely, she could just be a kleptomaniac, but the way she describes this need for stealing points me to the conclusion of a mental illness, rather than a lust for material things. And the fact that shes stealing for the dark gods also tells me, that theres something wrong with her.She gets panic attacks, when the time is running out. At the restaurant where SSH?s having dinner with her husband, her husbands client John Stanton and his wife, Barbara Stanton, shes about to freak out because theres almost no time left to steal the items. Shes seeing potential gifts to the dark gods in everything. The knifes, the plates, the napkins. She must steal something, but she cant, she doesnt get the chance, something always gets in the way. Helen has a pattern when it comes to stealing. She has to steal at least two items every week. The items have to be from the same store, on the same floor, and they have to be different. She has to make it before pm on Fridays. Otherwise the dark gods wont be pleased. The thoughts she has are typical for a person with COD. COD is something youre born with, but it doesnt always show in the early ears. Often its triggered by something that has a huge impact on your life. She cant remember exactly when it began. It was soon after Chloe and Nick left for university, when she quit her job at the advertising company. When she became, as Daniel describes her, a lady of leisure. Her children moved away and she quit her job -her life changed. And I think she started to steal as a result of her husbands words. One thing she lacks is independence from the hands of her husband. You could say, that hes the breadwinner, the supporter of the household. After she quit her job, her husband told her, that she didnt have to work anymore. They could easily afford it. She was now a lady of leisure.Theres another passage in the text, that can support my thoughts of the husband being the trigger to this shop-lifting; Busy day? He asks. Hair appointment? He laughs. Theres a strange pride in the way he teases her about her empty, frivolous days. He is the sole breadwinner now. Also the story tells us, that SSH?s tutoring troubled kids in the small charity-run literacy programmer in the suburbs. Helen thinks about the people in the literacy programmer. Young and old, struggling with so many demons. . Daniel knows little about the literacy programmer. He believes she teaches pensioners how to use a computer. He would not understand Amanda, the girl who carries a kitchen knife to make small cuts in her wrists when she is stressed. Or AK, the boy with HATE tattooed on his forehead. Helen refers to these young people, as mentally disturbed people, haunted by demons. Not real demons like Helene, but demons inside of them. Helen believes, that the dark gods are real. In the story it says, that she knows, that it is the dark gods who turn the wheels of a tricycle and send the toddler screaming into the traffic. To her, the dark gods are real. Think she helps these children because theyre like her. Eke it says in the text, Helen hasnt told Daniel her husband about the literacy programmer. Or at least not what it really is about. She has told him, that she teaches pensioners, and not that she helps troubled kids. I think shes afraid of what he might think of the young people, if he actually knew what was wrong with them. The similarity between the nouns people from the literacy and Helen is quite big and I think she knows that.I think shes frightened of how he would judge them and by that also judge Helen. She hasnt told Daniel about her little problem, because she knows that he wont be able to understand it, and thats also why she keeps the details of her work as a secret. The end is quite strange, Id say. Not what I wouldve expected. After what the text says, Helen will stop stealing gifts to the dark gods. Something happened at the restaurant, which made her realize, that what she does is complete lunacy. What happens is that a few minutes to deadline, shes still an item short. She still needs to find another item, so she steals a vase. A vase filled with water and flowers. The water has made everything in her bag wet. She thinks of the mess inside her bag. She imagines her wet drivers license, her sodden checkbook, the photographs of her children, the card from Chloe, all destroyed bathe water from her vase. It is lunacy. Helen stops. What get from this part of the story is that Helen finally realizes, whats going on. She thinks of the mess inside her head. How this illness -? the dark gods can story her life. Answer: Introduction Poor literacy skills among adults in the developing countries are a common problem that has led to the recognition of the relationship between health status and literacy skills hence the emergence of the concept of health literacy. The main aim of the study is to bring out the importance of healthy literacy and how it can be improved through the various educative and health promotion strategies by taking into consideration the fact that the provision of information and education helps patients have control over their health. The study will introduce an intervention, which entails a description of a program to be undertaken, its implementation, and the role of nurses/midwives in the process. Therefore, the essay will discuss on the Ask me 3 programs and its impact on health literacy and the potential barriers to its implementation. Health Literacy Health literacy refers to the capability to read, comprehend, obtain, and use healthcare information in following instructions to do with medication treatment and also in making appropriate health-related decisions. A persons health literacy levels are influenced by factors such as education levels whereby it can be seen through ability or lack of ability on reading level and numeracy levels. Factors such as language barriers, cultural appropriateness, the state of health, sentence structure, format and style and way of presenting the information are among the reasons that affect how information is comprehended and followed (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2015). There is a need for improving health literacy because it is important for each patient to receive quality health services efficiently and with ease. Therefore the low literacy patients can be helped through providing them with limited information that is clear in each of their visits, avoiding the use of medical jargons in the prescriptions, confirming if they understood the information by asking them and elaborating if they never understood and also using illustrations when laying out important concepts. It is important to improve health literacy because it can help many patients to be able to manage their health problems and in decision-making. Improving healthcare is important because it ensures easy access to health care services and it will also help the patients with chronic diseases to manage themselves through self-care, by providing them with ideas on how to do that and this not only improves their wellness but also their health. It is also important to improve health literacy, as it is fundamental in the health care provision sector since it will help reduce the level of health literacy meaning that provision of health services shall be a success. Health Education Health education refers to the process by which individuals or people learn to act in a given manner that helps to promote, restore, and maintain health. It encompasses all the aspects of spiritual health, emotional health, physical health, environmental health, and intellectual health. In the provision of health education which can be done through meetings, the patients can be asked to speak up in ways that they would want the health care services provision to be improved. This not only helps them understand that even the health workers in their field also face challenges but they also need understanding and solutions to help them in decision making. Since health education helps the patients to meet and interact with the health service providers, it promotes a good communication channel whereby the patients are able to reach out to them hence improving the patient-nurse relationship. It also helps the patients to have a deeper understanding of the health care system, hence accord th e service providers respect, support and appreciation in their work Health education is very important to the patient in terms of helping them modify their own behaviors based on health and risk factors. Giving the patient proper health education will also motivate the patients to take good care of themselves after leaving the medical premise as they will remember to stick to the doctors instructions and also to take their medications as prescribed. This will not only enable the patients to take responsibility for their own health but also to increase chances of treatment acceptance as there may be patients who might be shying away from receiving medical treatment (Aged Care Crisis., 2015). Through the various appointments with the doctors, the patient continue to receive care hence it may help them to avoid behaviors such as drinking that might be affecting their health conditions. Health education also helps an individual to learn various ways of preventing themselves from catching diseases such as cutting long grass around the compound to prevent mosquitoes from living there or sleeping under treated mosquito nets to prevent themselves from catching malaria. Health education also helps patients to come up with the best plan of action. Health Promotion In the process of health promotion, there are various challenges that can be encountered and they include lack of proper tools or mode of transmitting information (National Assessment of Adult Literacy, 2014). For instance, the use of journals and newspapers may have an impact on few people since not all people can read or write. This will also mean that the audience that will be able to acquire that information is small and better ways of portraying the information to reach a larger population need to be found(Anne, 2014). There are cases whereby the health professionals that are to provide this health education are few hence the goal of having an impact on a larger audience is never achieved. There is also the challenge of people attending the health education forum, receiving information but not adhering to it and still sticking to unhealthy behaviors such as drinking and smoking. There is also the challenge of mobilizing people to get the health education and also the challenge o f lack of enough facilities, funds, and support from the management. Besides these challenges, health education has its various strengths whereby it has brought about improved health service provision to patients. It has also played an important role in the development of local teamwork models comprising of health professionals that help promote health education in the communities. It has brought about community participation in the health care system whereby the communities work together with the health facilities to ensure that health services are accessible to all. It has also helped a good geographic spread of health information in both the rural and urban areas and also reaching out to the target population (The Center for Advancement of Health, 2013). The Intervention Low literacy, which is a lack of ability to read or write, has been a major hindrance to health education over years (Americas Health Literacy, 2015).This has led to various health outcomes which are mainly caused by the inability to have good knowledge on the disease or lack of following instructions to do with medications and prescriptions. The main intervention to be used is Ask me 3. Ask me 3 is a patient-based education program that seeks to promote communication between patients and the healthcare service providers. It encourages the patients to ask three main questions, which include; what is my main problem, what do I need to do and why is it important for me to do this? These questions help the patient to be aware of their health condition and what needs to be done to stay healthy. It is designed to assist patients to be more active in their health and provide a platform for improved communications between families, patients and healthcare service provider(Pleasant and McKin ney, 2015).In most hospitals Ask me 3 is used to improve patients satisfaction in their medical visits, engagement, and patient-health care provider interactions. Ask me 3 can be implemented through meetings with the staff/colleagues and discussing on the low health literacy and its diverse implications on its patients and asking them whether Ask me 3 can be fit to be used and if they agree to conduct a training on health literacy where there are to be actively involved. The points of contacts with the patients whether visual, verbal or written can be checked to see whether the language to be used can be appropriate for patients with low literacy. Information about Ask me 3 can be posted in the various premises in the hospital such as waiting rooms and examination rooms, In order to raise awareness and also to encourage patients to ask questions. Materials about Ask me 3 can be shared with the patient through brochures, newsletters, and videos. The health service providers can discuss Ask me 3 with patients and families and be committed to taking additional steps that are aimed at promoting clear communication. The role of nurses in the implem entation of the project include promoting professionalism and trust with the patient, for example, if the patients gave the nurses confidential information regarding their health, they should ensure that they information never gets to other parties. The nurses/ midwives should ensure that they are open and candid with the patients and assist the patients if the needed help or asked questions about their health or when they need clarification. The nurses/ midwives should be the key promoters of the Ask me 3 programs by ensuring that they communicate efficiently and in a manner that can easily be understood by the patients and also making them aware of the program besides teaching them on how to use it(Anne, 2013). The key building blocks to Ask me 3 programs include patient engagement whereby the patient and health providers work together towards the provision of better healthcare services. The contributors to patient engagement include access to data based on health, hence in Ask me 3, the patient is able to acquire the data by the ability of the healthcare providers being able to answer the questions asked. Acquiring the health data helps the patient to be more aware of their health conditions and how best to manage them through self-care. Another aspect is the patient-provider communication whereby Ask me 3 allows discussion between the patient and healthcare provider as they meet face to face hence creating interactions. In this case, health providers such as nurses should be empathic as they listen to the patients, show them compassion and also be mindful about their decisions/preferences. Another important perspective about Ask me 3 is customer satisfaction since patients are able to get answers to their questions, access more information and continuity in healthcare. The healthcare professionals normally give relevant and meaningful information to ensure that the patients get satisfied (Australian Human Rights Commission, 2014). Ask me 3 is an effective tool created by health professionals as it promotes communication between the patients and health providers hence assisting in solving the problem of health illiteracy as the patients can get answers about their health conditions, clarifications, and advice where needed. The program will also promote health literacy by ensuring that health education is being availed to all and that patients with various conditions can be able to give themselves self-care (Australian Government Department of Health, 2013). The Ask me 3 programs will also promote improvement in the health care provision as the health providers with taking into consideration questions asked by the patients and come up with ways of dealing with their problems. Ask me 3 will also help the patients make informed decisions concerning their health based on the relevant information given from the doctors. Ask me 3 will also increase awareness among patients and lead to them asking (Aged Care Crisis, 2 015). The potential enablers of the program are the fact that Ask me 3 is an efficient tool as it is easy to be used and understood. The program is also cost-effective since things like one poster in the waiting room can help to create awareness on a number of patients. Another enabler of the program is the willingness by the hospital to contribute funds towards creating awareness and the commitment of health providers to fight health illiteracy (Australian Government, 2016). The barriers to implementation of the program are that the information on the posters may not be enough to create awareness on health literacy as some patients may never read them or the information might be too limited. Some patients might also never take the initiative to ask questions hence the problem of health illiteracy may never be solved. Some of the patients may also go to the health providers with too much expectation and may suffer dissatisfaction since they can never get all the information they want. Anot her barrier is the problem of the health providers not being able to maintain the confidentiality of the information provided by the patient causing mistrust hence the patients not being free to ask questions or boycotting treatment. Conclusion Low health literacy is a problem that has been experienced in the medical field over a long period hence various measures should be put across to curb this problem. This particular problem can be solved through the promotion of health education, which involves helping individuals, or people learn to act in a given manner that helps to promote, restore and maintain health. Interventions such as Ask me 3 programs, providing health education through simplified materials can help to fight the problem of low health literacy and promote health education. Health education will lead to health literacy that entails capability to read, comprehend, obtain and use healthcare information in the following instruction to do with medication treatment and also in making appropriate health-related decisions. Health literacy is fundamental in the health care provision sector since it will help reduce the level of health illiteracy meaning that provision of health services shall be a success. Writing papers for students to grade and present is not an easy task. They are far more difficult than it might seem at first glance. As soon as a person comes to college, a very important part of his or her future hinges on the way he or she grades and presents the research papers. In order to make sure they do well in their classes, they need to do well in their research paper too.The biggest challenge that most students face is that they do not know how to begin a research paper or what type of research to do. There are various types of research available and it is up to the student to learn which one is appropriate for a given project. The most important aspect of a research paper is to begin by identifying what the purpose of the paper is. Many times this is different for each student. This will make it easier for them to identify what the topics should be when they come across the information .Another important element is the analysis of the data. Students can use this information to point out specific areas that may need further study. Others will identify areas where they think they can apply this knowledge. An important element is that the research be organized so that there is no confusion on what the paper is about. When writing this type of paper, students should never use sentences that do not belong on the paper. They should always make it a point to write in a clear, concise manner.Research is not always easy, but when students study enough, they should learn to effectively present the information in the paper. The first step is to identify what information is important to them and what information is for them to research.Once the information is identified, the next step is to organize this information and then use this organization as a way to determine what topics people are interested in. People should also remember that organizing the information is the least important part of their research paper. Keep the stakes high: Throughout the novel, the governess is shown to be somewhat in love with her employer. She describes him as a gentleman in the prime of life, such a figure had never risen, save in a dream or an old novel, before a fluttered, anxious girl and goes on to say he struck her, in evitably, as gallant and splendid (4). In her perspective, she lives to please her employer by carrying out her duties successfully. Yet the ghosts pose a crisis thats devastating to the rotagonists world, and she is willing to do anything to prevent the corruption of the children from the ghosts. This mindset creates suspense and allows the readers to empathize with the governess to some point. 2. Apply pressure: As the antagonists of the novel are the ghosts that corrupt the children, the protagonist, the governess, can only be against insurmountable odds; she is fighting against supernatural beings. Yet, another element that adds to the pressure is the fact that she has nowhere to escape. Mrs. Grose points out that the master didnt like tale-bearingâ⬠he hated omplaints. He was terribly short with anything of that kind (35). This installs in the protagonist a resolution to never let this ghost troubles be known to her employer, as she admires him and wants to please him in all ways; now she has to deal with the ghosts by herself. This creates suspense in that the screw has been turned even more; she has no escape. 3. Create dilemmas. Suspense loves a dilemma: The most prominent dilemmas that first appear in the novel consist of the governess struggle with the childrens telling the truth about the ghosts Peter Quint and Miss Jessel. She continuously believes that Flora and Miles are seeing the ghost but are lying to her. This creates a huge dilemma, as the governess faith towards the children is extinguished and the corruption of the children comes more near. This dilemma creates suspense and doubt at the same time, allowing the readers to ponder about the existence of the ghosts. 4. Complicate matters: The novel poses arious complications to the governess; starting with Miles letter of dismissal, the fact that the ghosts are of her predecessor and her lover, and mostly due to the fact that there are two turning of the screw, two children who are corrupted by the ghosts, heightens the complexity of matters to the governess. Everything crashes to the ground at the end of the novel, as Miles little heart, dispossessed, had stopped (117). 5. Create a really good villain: The villains of this novel are the ghost of Peter Quint and Miss Jessel, the governess predecessor. These villains, despite eing apparitions or ghosts, are highly Msible. The governess describes Peter Quints ghost vividly; He has red hair, very red, close-curling, and a pale face, long in shape, with straight rather queer whiskers that are as red as his hair (30). They seem to be rather clever and strongly motivated, and are powerful in the way that they have the ability to corrupt the children and destroy the governess new life. By creating fear in both the readers and the governess, these villains successfully create suspense throughout the novel. *Page numbers are fit to my book, which has a Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02762643158710173214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4739227128415416052.post-32912447809027475162020-04-14T08:20:00.001-07:002020-04-14T08:20:05.239-07:00Choosing Topics For a Non-Bias Research PaperChoosing Topics For a Non-Bias Research PaperThe choices you have available to you when choosing a topic for a non bias research paper is extensive and requires a thought process. A clear choice is often worth the time and effort involved. Many people write a pre-write for this paper, writing it first in a 'front burner' journal such as the letter page of their college or university's student newspaper. Writing your paper in this manner can be a fun experience, but if your choice is not appealing to you, there are other alternatives. Writing for a non-biased research paper can be as simple as making an outline of your paper, and doing some background research to establish the topic and key points. When you decide that you want to write your paper, the first thing you will need to do is draft a rough outline of the paper, which should include the main points, key points, and general approach to the paper. This outline is not a perfect outline, but it is a starting point. At this point, you need to look for some good topics for a non-bias research paper. It is difficult to write a good non-bias research paper if you do not have many ideas for topics for your paper. So many students find that they need to work with someone who has been writing for a non-bias research paper, but there are many others who simply find their ideas, and writing for a non-bias research paper is very rewarding. Because of this, when you choose topics for a non-bias research paper, you should think carefully about what your ideas are.The key here is to have a good topic, but also have something that will intrigue your readers. Although the topic will be important and should be considered when choosing topics for a non-bias research paper, there are many other considerations to make when selecting topics for a non-bias research paper. If you have chosen a good topic, it will have nothing to do with the race or gender of the author. The author is attempting to trace Johnny Appleseedââ¬â¢s path across Ohio, and to discover his true reasons for planting apples.à According to science, apple seeds do not produce ââ¬Ënormalââ¬â¢ apple trees.à Only tree cloning can do this.à Apple seeds produce terribly bitter fruit that is usually used for producing alcohol.à So, Johnny Appleseed was bringing alcohol to the colonies.à He moved continually, planting apple seeds where he knew a town would spring up in a few years, and when it did, he would sell the small apple trees for profit.à This was good business practice, as most people selling land required that the buyers plant orchards, to encourage them to keep and use their land. Sweetness is another popular reason for the apple.à Sugar wasnââ¬â¢t common in the frontier times, and any sweetness came from fruit.à The apple was among the sweetest.à This sweetness, of course, lent itself well to the creation of alcohol.à Alcohol was necessary, though, because it was a safer drink than water, even for children, in a time when water was often infested with cholera or worse. A man named Bill takes the author around Apple Country and shows him Johnny Appleseedââ¬â¢s path.à They walk across country, paddle down rivers, and look at apple trees that had been planted by Appleseed himself.à Along the way, the author continues to ask Bill biographical questions about Appleseed, such as the rumors about his child bride who left him, why he never married, and how he lived everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Today, many varieties of apples still grow, some propagated by Johnny Appleseed.à Legends of Appleseed still exist in many different areas, as the author finds out. à The apple, and the man who loved it, are still a large part of todayââ¬â¢s folklore, and real tradition. The Fourteenth Amendment expands on the Fifth applying it to a broader audience. Due process is related to how laws are applied and how they are enforced. For example, if an individual has committed a criminal act for which they need to be penalized, they cannot just be thrown in jail, there has to be the process that is under law. In this case the process involves using a warrant, a trial, and sentencing among other steps. Operating without this process is not only illegal in the example, but it is also unconstitutional. While due process is guaranteed by the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution, the exact meaning of due process is not clearly established. The ambiguity has meant decisions within the Supreme Court as to the meaning of the phrase and whether it applied to the cases that were being heard at the time. These decisions have helped to shape the current interpretation of the law such as the right of defendants to have representation and for accused to be made aware of their rights before questioning. However, some recent Supreme Court decisions appear to go against the right of due process set forth in the constitution. Background The United States was founded by Europe, and as a consequence was governed by them. Because of the great distance and the disinterest of the British government in its colonists the rule that England exercised over the colonies was mild, at least initially. The desire for change came at the end of the war between the French settlers and the British colonists when the British government demanded taxes from the colonists as payment for the men that it had supplied. The desire to tax the colonists, without allowing them representation in the British courts was one of the reasons for the American Revolution. The revolution began in 1776 and the colonists declared the ir independence from their founding country, choosing instead to be ruled by law from within. The Constitution promised rights to all Americans regardless of class and rates and detailed the system of government for America, one that served the people rather than serving itself . The Constitution forbids any individual being deprived of ââ¬Å"â⬠¦life, liberty, or property, without due process of the law...â⬠This right is cited both within the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. The Fifth Amendment applied these rights only to federal courts, while this was expanded for the Fourteenth Amendment to include all states. Due process is not specifically defined within the Constitution, but is generally perceived to mean a judicial procedure that is just and fair, most commonly a trial before peers . It is an important concept and it applies in a wide number of legal cases. What is Due Process? While the Amendments guarantee due process the intention and the legal application of the term is not simple to determine. In particular, the word ââ¬Ëdueââ¬â¢ within the phrase raises significant contention. Is a process ââ¬Ëdueââ¬â¢ if it is within current laws, such as the requirements under law for a trial before Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02762643158710173214noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4739227128415416052.post-82734994770961202122020-02-08T07:18:00.001-08:002020-02-08T07:18:02.822-08:00Good Research Papers For College - How to Write Better Research Papers For CollegeGood Research Papers For College - How to Write Better Research Papers For CollegeGood research papers for college will help you to come up with well-written research papers.
